Historically, materials have influenced the progress of civilization, and continue to do so today. New materials discovered or synthesized transform the existing paradigm, defining eras, places and the skills of the people. At the same time, all materials are harvested and processed somewhere around the world, extracted from a finite planet containing limited resources. Driven by consumerism, we are bombarded with mass produced products, some valued but most eventually discarded.

Although progress is being made by many entities around the world to manage our resources better, we will always need new solutions to manage the things that become damaged or unwanted.

Adding to the growing up-cycling movement, MatterForms strives to find more solutions. Using sustainability as the guiding principle and creativity as the agent of transformation, MatterForms gives new purpose to discarded materials.
